Who does not like that blurry background in the pictures? I guess many people went from point and shoot cameras to more serious ones just because that internationally called BOKEH.
Here I present just few simple tests with few nice old lenses mounted on my Sony A7rII. The thing, that mirrorless allows you to mount almost any lenses with adaptors is quite well known. But from this year Sony’s in body stabilization opens some new horizons 😉 And this test was very good excuse to spend a day with my nephews 🙂
First, I mounted old Helios 44-2 via M42->Nikon->Sony E adaptors
I have borrowed Helios 40 and tested that out too (M39->M42->Nikon->Sony E adaptors with glass)
Mamiya 150mm f2.8 via Mamiya->Nikon->Sony E adaptors
One of my favourite manual lenses Nikkor 85mm f2 via Nikon->Sony E adaptor
And finally Sony A 70-400mm f4-5.6 via LA-EA3 adaptor
I use Sony 70-400mm for shooting sports and it’s great for a job. But for portraits because of weight and results, I think I will keep Helios 44 and Nikkor 85mm in my bag.
